Using the Scheduler

Calendar view of every work order; drag from the unassigned tray onto a technician's day.

Using the Scheduler

The Scheduler sidebar entry opens a calendar view. Each row is a technician; columns are days (week view) or hours (day view).

Views

  • Day — hour-by-hour for one date.
  • Week — Monday-to-Sunday grid.
  • Month — pure overview, less interactive.

The unassigned tray

The right side panel shows every work order that doesn't have a scheduled time yet. Drag from the tray onto a slot to schedule and assign in one move.

Conflicts

If a technician already has an overlapping order, the slot turns red and a tooltip explains the conflict. You can drop anyway; the conflict is just a warning.

Recurring work orders

Preventive-maintenance schedules (set up in Field Service → Preventive Maintenance) generate work orders that show up here automatically. See Setting up recurring maintenance.

Technician availability

Each member has a work schedule under their profile (Mon–Fri 8 AM–5 PM by default). Slots outside their hours are dimmed but still droppable — useful for off-hours emergencies.

Tips

  • Cmd/Ctrl-click a tech row to filter the Dispatch Board to that tech for the rest of your session.
  • Hover any block to see WO number, customer, and address.
