This Cookie Policy explains how Roldesk Digital Solutions LLC("Roldesk", "we", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.roldesk.com, the Roldesk web application, and our mobile applications (together, the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things like your login state, preferences, or analytics identifiers. Similar technologies we treat the same way under this policy include local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs) on mobile, and device identifiers.
2. Your consent (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil)
If you visit our marketing site from the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction that requires opt-in consent for non-essential cookies under the ePrivacy Directive, GDPR / UK GDPR, or comparable laws, we do not set any non-essential cookie until you provide consent through our cookie banner.
You can review or change your preferences at any timeusing the button below or via the "Manage cookies" link in our footer.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
Always on. These are essential to deliver the Service you have asked for — without them you cannot sign in, switch theme, or submit forms safely. They do not require consent under EU law.
| Name / purpose | Set by | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth session (sb-…-auth-token) | Roldesk (Supabase) | Cookie | Session + refresh; expires when you sign out |
| CSRF protection / API request validation | Roldesk | Cookie / header | Short-lived (per request) |
| Theme preference (light/dark) | Roldesk | localStorage | Until cleared |
| Sidebar collapsed state | Roldesk | localStorage | Until cleared |
| roldesk_cookie_consent (your consent choices) | Roldesk | localStorage | 12 months |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (cf_clearance, __cf_bm) — bot challenge on public auth and contact forms | Cloudflare | Cookie | 30 minutes – 1 year |
3.2 Functional
Remember choices you make so the Service behaves the way you expect.
| Name / purpose | Set by | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace preferences (list filters, table column choices, recent searches) | Roldesk | localStorage; until cleared |
3.3 Performance / analytics
Help us understand which features are used and where the Service is slow or failing. Off by default in regions that require opt-in.
| Name / purpose | Set by | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| First-party usage telemetry (page views, feature use, error rates) | Roldesk | 13 months |
3.4 Marketing
We currently do not use cross-site advertising or remarketing cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and request consent before any such cookie is set.
4. Third-party cookies
A small number of strictly-necessary cookies are set by third parties on our behalf — notably Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection) and Supabase (authentication). When you visit our customer portal or sign-in pages, those services may set their own first-party-on-their-domain cookies governed by their privacy notices: Cloudflare, Supabase.
5. Managing your preferences
- From the banner — when you first visit, click Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize. Your choice is stored and applied across the Service.
- Change later — re-open the preferences dialog from the "Manage cookies" link in our footer or the button in section 2 above.
- Browser settings — every modern browser lets you block, delete, or be alerted about cookies. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent core parts of the Service from working (you won't be able to sign in).
- Mobile — reset advertising identifiers and limit ad tracking from your device's privacy settings.
6. "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control
Our Service does not yet act on Do Not Track signals because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them. For California residents, we treat a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. As stated in our Privacy Policy, Roldesk does not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in practice.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add, change, or remove technologies. We update the "Last updated" date when we do; for material changes we will also re-present the cookie banner so you can revisit your preferences.
