Deleting a contract and its work orders

When you delete a contract, the confirmation dialog tells you exactly what will happen to its linked records.

If the contract has no work orders

You'll see a note confirming there are none. Other linked records — invoices, quotes, projects — are detached and kept; only the contract is removed.

If the contract has work orders

The dialog shows how many, with a checkbox: "Also delete the N associated work order(s)."

• Leave it unchecked — the work orders are kept and simply detached from the contract.
• Tick it — the contract and those work orders are deleted together. This cannot be undone.

Invoices, quotes and projects linked to the contract are always kept.
